Shit's about to get real for Jen and Judy...
Dead To Me

Since the call to close most businesses, stay at home, and self-isolate, Netflix has been gifting us with one fantastic, binge-worthy series after another. While I’m normally one to re-watch every series I love, I’m totally ready for a new series to keep me glued to the couch, wide-eyed, and eating popcorn. If there was ever a time to binge-watch TV series—guilt-free—this pandemic is certainly it.

As we’re leaning on Netflix, now more than ever, the giant, American-media service provider continues to churn out content for our entertainment and a little escape from the current situation. From the madness of Tiger King and the riveting cliffhangers of Fauda to the coming-of-age murder mystery—Outer Banks, there is something for every one of us.

So, what's my current obsession?

Drum roll, please—“Dead to Me” Season 2. I feel like I’ve been waiting for the second season forever. Although it’s only been a year since the first season of the binge-worthy show, I haven’t stopped thinking about Jen and Judy and the chilling end to the first season. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the show, here’s a quick snippet.

In the first season of “Dead to Me,” Jen (Christina Applegate), a widow and real estate agent with anger management issues, and Judy (Linda Cardellini), a free-spirited artist who recently lost her fiance, meet at a support group and bond over insomnia and the recent losses of their partners. They become fast friends as they unknowingly play a game of cat-and-mouse and explore grief, guilt, love, and loss.

On May 8, the second season aired on Netflix and comes in as powerfully as the first did. I’m on episode 5 at the moment, and will likely finish it tonight! Oh, the excitement!
